2017 Raleigh’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade

There were 10 NC from the Nat Greene and Tarheel Bases at this year’s parade along with the Mk-14 Torpedo Float and Parade Submarine.  It was a very cold and windy morning while waiting for the parade to start.   A large crowd of spectators lined the parade route in spite of the cold day.  After the parade 2 members of the Albemarle Sound Base picked up the floats to use them the next day at the Nags Head Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.  The new load leveler hitch worked well for the ½ ton pickup used by the Albemarle Sound Base member pulling the Mk-14 Torpedo Float.
