Thomasville Memorial Day Parade
The Mk-14 Torpedo Float has been entered in this year’s parade. The time for parade to start is 9:00am which is earlier then previous years. So those who plan to participate this year, you need to be at the staging area by 8:30am. The staging area and near by parking on East Main Street is shown on attachment 1.
If you are coming to Thomasville using I-85, attachment 2 shows the suggest route to the staging area. NC 109 will be blocked at West Main Street. So heading to East Main Street you need to use Julian Ave to East Main Street. This road bears to the right off of NC 109 just past the Sunrise Dinner on the left.
If you are coming to Thomasville using Business I-85, attachment 3 shows the suggest route to the staging area. NC 109 will be blocked before East Main Street. So heading towards East Main Street on NC 109 you need to turn left on to Unity Street and then right on to National Highway to East Main Street.
So once again, please reply to this email if you planning riding the Mk-14 Torpedo Float in the parade. The float holds 16 riders so lets have a good turnout.
