SUMMARY:2025 NC SubVets Burnsville Memorial Service
DESCRIPTION:2025 Burnsville Registration \nOnce again it is time to hold the annual memorial service May 16 – 18 on Moonshine Mountain outside of Burnsville. NC.  This memorial service has been held annually since 2003\, when the Tarheel Chapter (USSV-WWII) and tthe Tarheel Base first met there to dedicate this memorial.  It was built by TMC(SS)) Flowers\, a WWII subvet who served on the USS Gato (SS-212) during WWII. \nSo consider attending this memorial service this year and spend a great weekend at the Big Lynn Lodge.  The registration form is attached as well as the information for the Big Lynn Lodge.\nChuck Jensen \n2025 Burnsville Service Registration Form    Big Lynn Lodge Map

SUMMARY:Thomasville Memorial Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:The Mk-14 Torpedo Float has been entered in this year’s parade. The time for parade to start is 9:00am which is earlier then previous years. So those who plan to participate this year\, you need to be at the staging area by 8:30am. The staging area and near by parking on East Main Street is shown on attachment 1. \nIf you are coming to Thomasville using I-85\, attachment 2 shows the suggest route to the staging area. NC 109 will be blocked at West Main Street. So heading to East Main Street you need to use Julian Ave to East Main Street. This road bears to the right off of NC 109 just past the Sunrise Dinner on the left. \nIf you are coming to Thomasville using Business I-85\, attachment 3 shows the suggest route to the staging area.  NC 109 will be blocked before East Main Street. We participated in the parade from 2005-2014 and there was always a great crowd.
